Thanks, machinebacon. Yes, dkeger was what I used to select that theme. I will look at your other tips to try to make adjustments.

My main system that I use for everyday tasks is still Siduction Linux LXDE. I back it up regularly and I'm comfortable with it for online banking, etc. I don't claim that it is necessarily any better than my other systems, but trust has built up over months of use. I did that in my Arch system, a few days ago. Like Conky, it didn't tell me that much that was interesting to me. But, if I think up anything useful, maybe I'll try again.
