Thanks for the hard work on this:
BTW: Have you ever read the Notice at the bottom of xterm's documentation? If you haven't, you should; it's funny.

^ No, I had not seen that notice before.
I have not until now had to dive into the code.
xterm seems to be doing well for what I am using it for, which is not a lot, to be honest, because I try to stay within emacs as much as possible.
Thanks for the heads up, Joe :)

That is so awesome, I have no words for it.

This version recognizes .Xresources snippets as color definitions and can apply the color theme either to console or xterm.
Just drop a color theme definition from board index >> configs and scrots >> xresources/Xdefauts colors in your color themes directory and console-colors can apply the theme both to console and xterm.
We are getting there :)

Re: Scripts by xaos52
Great, finally on urxvt.
Re: Scripts by xaos52
@rhowald: terminal emulators? xterm and urxvt can change colors on the fly.
For other terminal emulators you need to use -u to update ~/.Xresources, stop X use xrdb -merge ~/.Xresources and restart X to activate the new themes.

Re: Scripts by xaos52
how about stupid stuff like Terminator? uses its own internal system or something, right? let's not cater to that shit if so.

Re: Scripts by xaos52
terminator and lxterminal and sakura and whatnot have their own shit, i think it's a bit much to cater them, but Irene (fog) uses terminator, and she posted her snippet to make paletter work for terminator a few days ago. I suppose lxterm and the other GUI VTs use the same syntax there.
