Skype 4.2 deb download

The good folks at Microsoft ditched ALSA support with the new 4.3 release. Bad. 4.2 still has ALSA support and everything still works, so I put up a deb of this version in my Dropbox for download, if anyone needs it (for a new install on a new PC, etc):

Dunno if this is the latest version of 4.2, but this is what I could find. My guess is that it will be broken in a while anyways...

Nice post kex. I actually figured that out yesterday on the newest version (4.3.0). Downgrade is successful :)

Bad news:

According to this, starting from August 1, 2014 all versions <4.3 cannot connect anymore.

It still works here. Maybe it's not happening at the same time everywhere?
In any case, looks like there's no escape from pulse...

It didn't work for my father in Germany (he just called me) and when I tried it in China with mine and his account, both times it said 'Cannot connect'. Works on the phone though ;)

Hm. I just had a 1 hour conversation... So, I get to use 4.2 (for now), because Serbia. :)
