Well, now let me setup my user, tmux and figure how to make a scrot of it.
I know you all want evidence of my work. :D

:) Congratulations on your honorary beard. Now, when you walk outside and women just start throwing their panties at you, you'll know it was all worth it.

Well, an "init font error" with fbterm won't stop me. I want to keep my beard! Stay tuned.

Edit: error solved, fbterm works but all black, can't read anything. I'm almost there!

I got framebuffer working, but can't seem to find a decent font. DejaVu Sans, the same one I'm using on another framebuffer setup, doesn't look good on killX. Also, with tmux it can't display the lines between panes.
Back tomorrow with my adventures.

Gekkocino, I use "Modd" in size 12, but Terminus worked quite well, too.
The "Modd" (and "Neep") are in slackware: x11fonts-jmk
..gnutella..

The encoding issue I had with framebuffer and tmux could be resolved adding this to my .tmux.conf.

Code: Select all

set-option -ga terminal-overrides ',*:enacs#:smacs@:rmacs@:acsc@'
