using boxxy atm.

Code: Select all

*font: -ark-boxxy-medium-r-normal--14-140-72-72-c-60-iso10646-1
frank, can you link me to the gohufontmod. I'd like to check that out. Also, yes, envy 13 is pretty nice. Since the resolution on the Thinkpad is 1280x800 over 1366x768, so fonts look different now.

Code: Select all

*font: xft:DroidSansMono:size=7
i was going to say "i really like fonts where the 0 is slashed", then realized Droid Sans doesn't have that feature. oh well. still looks nice to me :D

A tie between Terminus and tamsyn here. Actually, fixed would be okay, too - I am not overly picky when it comes to terminal fonts, especially since in Debian the TTY font selection is very very limited (Goha, Terminus, fixed), and I got used to the boring defaults. I mean, compare Debian's third world supermarket shelf to what you can have in Slackland's hypermarket setconsolefont.

Can't go wrong there. I tend to like smaller more compact fonts, like dweep or neep semi condensed

Now that is the best reason for going slack, remember that wonky font everyone (here) hated?

terminus-16 I don't remember why I started using it, but nothing else looks right now.

Although I did flirt with DejaVu Sans for a while.

yep, these are nice fonts. I'm still on dweep, but have use these.
For those not using xft. Really just one size. I'd bet 7,8,9 would result in the same.

Code: Select all

-vc-vixus-medium-r-normal--10-100-75-75-c-50-iso8859-1
or
-vc-vixusansi-medium-r-normal--10-100-75-75-c-50-iso8859-1
