is ticked. No idea why it doesn't allow for re-voting.
@e17: yeah they are going their own way (without me). I prefer other headache-causing substances though ;)

Someone told me that I am delusional, I almost fell off my unicorn.

Very late for this one :D Choose KDE, same why as rust collector above. :)
Re: Which DE/WM do you like least? ;)
Do we have a thread like this for which DM/WM we like the best most?
Ha, wow, just noticed ... epic necro bump!

If there is no thread, I am not sure, about our beloved ones (WMs etc) than feel free to open such thread.

wow I have totally turned around, the desire to go back to i3 is getting stronger though.
I still hate stackers though, most things run full screen.

Look at that. After more than 2 years, my mind changed quite a bit. As of now, speaking of DEs-only:GekkoP wrote:Least:

03 E17
Most:

03 MATE
It took me a while to appreciate GNOME3, but given a reasonable hardware I can live happily with it and a couple of extensions.

OMGnome! :)
if one is going to get all modern then might as well be gnome3...terrible to admit here...perhaps.
Which version/distro, did you find ubunutu's offering a bit crappy? Whichever version of gnome3 is in jessie is OK. had some weird glitches like the pointer going walkabout, although that might be my fault, with notification programs running.
not to mention Corenominal runs it... :P

^ Last time I tried GNOME on Sid is was buggy as hell. On Jessie it just works.

The DE/WM i ever used and dislike the most:
1. LXDE and Pixel on RPi. Absolute garbage, barely usable and looks fucking ugly.
2. Unity
3. KDE 5 (new work PC, lasts only about 20 minutes before i uninstall everything qt-related)
4. Gnome 3

It improved reasonably and I like that I can use it almost mouse-less. A lot of people are or were too used to click on shit and they were one of the first to complain about Gnome 3 but I still cannot use it. So many wrong design decisions and nope, it is not a browser, I do not like using extensions and they even do not want me to.GekkoP wrote:

That is also true. I had it only once working on sid and it was years ago.GekkoP wrote:^ Last time I tried GNOME on Sid is was buggy as hell. On Jessie it just works.
DEs that I still like the most:
1. Xfce
2. Mate
3. maybe Gnome 3
worst of the bunch:
1. LXQT
2. KDE
3. no idea
Best WMs:
1. spectrwm
2. evilwm
3. dwm
worst:
1. e17, the king of worst
2. cannot speak for the rest, I can appreciate them all

Re: Which DE/WM do you like least? ;)
yeah the extensions are a mixed bag, I dont' run any - that aren't kinda built in, that works ok...
interesting point with it being a browser; I did modify some CSS somewhere regards the padding of the windows, much better.

Still do not like lxde, like franksinistra.
I would never choose to use a desktop environment anyway, but one that is reasonable IMO is xfce.
Of the windows managers.
Another hater of e17.
I also agree that there is something positive in all the other wms I have tried, stackers and tilers.
My favourite is herbstluftwm. spectrwm comes second and probably jwm third.

^love for the herbst! A very comfortable wm. My next project will be to reconfigure, switching MOD to super over alt. You just never know of what duplicate keybindings may result cause I use sxhkd too.

^^ zactly, the one DE I can tolerate (and appreciate) in my own machine is XFCE.
I'm okay with 90% of WMs out there, but if I have to pick the one I dislike the most, it's probably awesomeWM.

I also didn't find it to be awesome myself, while we are hatin' on awesomeWM.
