Which DE/WM do you like least? ;)

Well, let's not talk about resource usage or dependency count - let's go by the good old standards: the eyes, the look and feel.
Which of the following does not suit your needs?

Please be fair and only vote if you actually *used* it. In doubt we want to see a scrot ;)

Thanks ;)

I vote kde.
I am sure it is awesome and great, but I do not understand how it works, and why/how it does things.
This is a problem I have with most de's, but kde seems to be "worst".

Needless to say that I hate e17 most, for giving me massive migraine. No kidding. I hate how texts are rendered, the font size generally, the blink and bounce, the totally random looks of graphical elements. It's just a PITA.

Windows 8!

I used to hate Cinnamon because it was so full of bugs, it was like diving into an anthill. Recent versions (2.2+) are far more reasonable, and I prefer them over MATE.

So yes, bugs are the main turnoff to me. And that includes the inability to turn off animations in E17...

Oh sure I should have mentioned "DE/WM in Linuxland, without virtualization"...

you can change your vote, btw ;) And sorry that I forgot to add Cinnamon as own DE. Let's run it under "Other"

I'm gonna have to agree with bacon on e17, just horrible. I could actually use any of the others before I would use e17 (even AfterStep!), and I don't even know a thing about CDE or EDE, other than what I have seen in scrots.

Abstaining - due to a lack of any true hatred.
Stackers in general annoy me now, that's about as far as I can go.
So I guess that's all of the above.. 8)

Windowmaker. Tried to use it, hated it. Never tried some of the others though...

CDE kept me away from *nix for years.
-H

..and it rhymes with Seedy

I dislike lxde. if you are going to use a desktop manager at least integrate it well. Every time I have tried lxde I think 'wtf is this. I can choose a wm, pimping it up a bit with little effort and it does a better job'

^ This. I used to like it much more, until I realized that RAM usage wasn't much less than Xfce, but with far fewer options.

GNOME 3 easily. I liked GNOME 2 a LOT, and then comes along GNOME shell and mutilates it. I was in shock, horror, and disbelief that they actually RELEASED that nightmare. Fortunately, I found a permanent home in XFCE 4. I like it better than MATE now.

I just like a full featured desktop with a powerful terminal emulator. At the same time, I hate 3D accelerated desktops and bloat. So KDE is on my shit list too. If I go minimalist, I go for stacking WMs.

Bad:
Hmm, I might have voted wrong (sniff). I ticked CDE , should have done KDE :O well who cares any xDE does not work for me.
E17-E19 are a bit special too, still can't get used to them, BUT you guys are forgetting that they are essentially going a different way/ approach that none of the others are doing ;) so kudos to them for breaking the mould. ( But I still do not like it due to an insanely messy feel :D )

Hmm, no one has voted for AfterSTEP/ GNUstep, but instead Windowmaker ?!?!? o.O Kex you naughty boy :P

Good:
One thing I am waiting for though is LxQT to mature, then it will be an easy contender to xfce. Can't wait to be honest!
Hence in the poll LXDE/Razorqt don't really exist as in "one wm", so if we vote LXDE it automatically means Razor (RIP) as well, just my 20 million cents :D

cheers

simon the future LxQT whore (only maybe ;)
