Found a (not so) new font, Arimo, the successor to Liberation.

http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/arimo

It is in the repos: fonts-croscore.

I must confess I've recently ditched Fira Sans as my GTK font because I fell in love with Source Sans Pro.

For coding, I've been using this in the last few days: https://be5invis.github.io/Iosevka/

Let's see if it steers me away from Source Code Pro.

^^ I like Iosevka actually. It's super crisp (looking retina-esque) on newer monitors (QHD /4K) and its legatures suits people primarily work on functional programming stuff (like you).

But I only have one 4K monitor, and rarely used it for computer stuff... :(

^ I find it cool both on the XPS and on a regular monitor, tbh. :-)

Since Iosevka is getting too popular for my taste (!), I've been trying Monoid lately. Of course with a name so Haskell-friendly I couldn't miss it.

I am very much stuck in my ways :D
monoid does look nice, seems I like the fatness of the source code pro. Iosevka and hack were really tall.

Already a bit tired of Monoid, so I moved to something fancy to piss off co-worker(s): https://fontlibrary.org/en/font/fantasque-sans-mono :)

I am also stuck on my fonts forever. Liberation Sans and good old school Terminus is all I need.

Still using tamsyn here, both in the console and urxvt. I have not changed anything about my desktop for some time.

I use iOS on mobile (yeah yeah, boo-hoo walled-garden-Tim Cook-is-a-CCP-spy whatever) and tend to employ an app called iA Writer a lot, but only recently did I learn that the iA Fonts are open source;
https://github.com/iaolo/iA-Fonts
https://ia.net/writer/blog/a-typographic-christmas

With bitmap font support being dropped everywhere, I've mostly been alternating between the Adobe Source, IBM Plex and Ubuntu families, so this addition to my dull-as-fuck font rotation is most welcome.

I very much would prefer using iOS than shitty Android but again I just should throw all those smart devices out of the window.

Recently I changed my console font to Source Code Pro. I was tired of Liberation Mono and Terminus. It looks crisp.
For the GUI I settled finally on Noto Sans. Looks almost like Droid obviously but is different enough to take it into my rotation.

Edit: Thank you for the link. Looks amazing.

This has been proving a solid choice for me.
