What are your favourite Xresources/Xdefaults colors?

OK i'll be the first narcissist to confess... I like my own color (mjpl mjpd), slap it on almost every machine i have.

On some circumstances like when on laptops / work without adequate lights / when in hostile environment (Windows, OS X) / When i don't feel like using my own colors, i use gruvbox/darktooth and some variety of color-scheme by dkeg (like bulb).

I used numix darkest for the longest time.
Probably still will use it, once I set up the office machine.
I like the colours to be the 'right' colours, because it shows weird file perms up correctly and visually.
Now it's Apple-bright Basically because it was the first light theme I saw.

drew's streetlamps, hopps and iron. in TTY it is pidsley's greens or drew's betterbright, my own platine and precision, largely depending on the surrounding lighting. But I often, really often switch and give each theme a few days time to grow on me. It has to look good in no-X emacs without preset color theme, sometimes little manipulations are needed, but those mentioned before work well OOTB.

I really like betterbright, and reichswolf.
In x, either whatever it has, oxide (I think it was, the orange one) or solarized dark.

I made an X color scheme that matched the elaborate leaf and flower decorations in the margins of a fifteenth-century illuminated manuscript. Thanks to rhowaldt's palleter script. I've lost the image of the manuscript, but the scheme is still in effect on my home system.

dkeg's barn colors end up on whatever I work with eventually. I'll try a few others or extract some from a wall, but I end up crawling back to barn in the end - it just works for me!

Most of the time i'm using a really nice colorscheme by https://github.com/11111000000/tao-theme-emacs since it's super minimal, meaning less distraction for me in almost anything I do at work and at home. The other colorscheme i really like is Nord https://github.com/arcticicestudio/nord, for the same reason plus its availability in a lot of format / programs / editors.

Edit: P.S. I think Nord looks like something dkeg would make.

i was going to install nord then realised i had to actually install the damn thing as in download the install shell script run it an wonder at the installation.. I appreciate that it's so it pulls the latest version and lah-di-dah but its a fucking colour pallette.
fuck it I'm just sticking to the numix one i made ages ago when it was fashionable../rant
