Re: TTY Machine
Thanks for that link, Wuxmedia. I know what I am going to do with the partitions that old Linux Mint Debian Edition is sitting on!
Sir! Put down the hammer and slowly step away from the computer.

Re: TTY Machine
I chose the first option. I have a server that runs vanilla debian stable that only uses TTY.
Although I do use X frequently on my laptop (for school, I need access to .docx, .pptx, etc), I find myself always hopping onto TTY for quicker and cleaner file management. TTY loads much quicker than a virtual terminal (for obvious reasons), and it will always be a place where I feel at home.
When Bacon first introduced me to LinuxBBQ, my dream was to be considered a TTY user (I used to term "power-user" at the time). It seems that you all have helped me fulfill my dream. Thank you all :)

Re: TTY Machine
I have a lappy that is TTY only simply because I can't stand the trackpad. I started using it that way starting with squeeze and have never had an xserver on it. I have X on the desktop, but I still TTY on that one a lot, too.
