Re: [POLL] 64-bit Christmas Gift Time
I voted LXDE but actually pony-muncher would be a really good choice.
Whichever tho', you should seriously consider including the most recent CLI/GUI snapshot/installer scripts as the current ones are over a year out of date.

Re: [POLL] 64-bit Christmas Gift Time
Who says this? ;)
"should" = I'm not a cotton picker
"seriously" = here, at the BBQ? lol
"consider" = yup, I have not just considered but rewritten the snapshot tool (see "Baby" release) and the fitting installer finished. It works platform independent so you can carry it to whatever base you like.
"over a year" = a bash script never gets old
"out of date" = bullshit, if you mean the refracta tools, they are anyway not supported in Sid, and if you mean the Solus/Mint live-installer, it was anyway never supported in Sid.
"GUI" = no way, there will be CLI tools only

@mb
i was referring to refracta . . .
if you stay true to the bbq philosophy it will be a noX 64bit release - this is as it should be.

I stay with what the people vote for in the poll, and if it's KDE so shall it be (people, don't!)
And playing fair, I haven't (and won't) vote.

Re: [POLL] 64-bit Christmas Gift Time
At first it looked difficult what to pick but I go for Openbox just because I enjoy it so much with Pony Muncher and I think a 64bit version... ah, forget it.
I won't vote here. Anyway I do not care for 64bit so it would be unfair. Additionally Pid makes also some valid points.

Been too damn busy to break much or even visit the forum but I vote Openbox. Still prefer 32 bit but occasionally journey into the 64 bit world.
Re: [POLL] 64-bit Christmas Gift Time
i haven't voted either cuz i don't give a shit. also, there already is a 64-bit noX base, and that's all i'll ever really need anyway, if i wanted to go 64-bit.
imo the only thing i'd use 64-bit for was for a special edition such as Rocks, as the audio-department can use the extra bits. all other stuff: meh.
also, what Pidsley said.

concur with pidsley. I don't think I have much more of an opinion here. Yeah, so I'd say go with the pidsley suggestion

Re: [POLL] 64-bit Christmas Gift Time
I love LXDE.
I do have to replace the window manager in order to get better Dual Head support. Yes, I know about xrandr, but maximized apps stretch across 2 1920x1080 screens (unless I missed something).
OW, LXDE is very well behaved.
...and you guys know how I feel about 64 bit.... I've been trying to move my company (well not mine) into 64 bit and unicode since 2003. ;)
