For Mr. nomnom... these are taken in framebuffer, different fonts (mono-16, terminus-16 and terminus-12), with tmux, and emacs running ansi-term in tmux. just to confuse people, yes. And to prove the point that a solid, dark background renders the foreground more readable than a transparent one. at least for me.

That's looking super cool! I really like the eyegasm! I tried Ctrl-Alt+F2, logged in but didn't start x, and started moc and opened an env-info. Was going to scrot it, but my fbgrab turned out blank. Probably doing it wrong, but when I get it right I will post it in my scrots :)

Nice. Those colors did come out pretty nice. And transparency I see. I think I still have most of the original salsa I used. I should round 'em up and post 'em up.

That's an image in the background! I need to look at that config file again! I did not see where you could put an image in the background, Though I guess you can- you can have grub splash screens, duh! Ok! Time for coffee!!

edit /usr/local/bin/fb

to make images a bit darker you can use imagemagick:
convert -brightness-contrast -50x20 from.png to.png

Just your basic tmux console in Alpine 3.5. I like this distro.

A few tweaks -- bash shell, tamsyn console font, nanorc, custom kernel.

Disk use looks a little bloated because the root directory contains an archive of the entire system (so I could install it on another machine) -- it's really only using about 360M.
