- conky is from pidsley, I just edited to my own taste

Not much, then, but I'm happy and got some tears from saying goodbye to Elektra. :)

welcome haggis :) time to give her a name (/etc/os-release, /etc/lsb-release, /etc/default/grub.d/linuxbbq.cfg) to make her feel home!

looks good! thanks for posting!

trollin' with the next spin ;)

I ripped everything from gekkop (haven't modified the .Xresources for transparency yet)
This should be a boccaperta-it edition on the stick. Infect them all :)
grumpy.png
And yes, I followed what gekko has on his machines (apparently) - sylpheed, emacs-gtk2, surf, iceweasel, pcmanfm, evilwm/cwm/jwm, stterm + source, anonymous pro font, libreoffice-writer (do you need the spreadsheet stuff?) etc etc. Of course its locales are Italian.

Gotta go back to work now, hopefully gekko pushes a few more configs (surf?) so I can put them into the spin ;)

^ WOW! A BBQ spin with my name in it, thanks! :D

You can remove sylpheed and pcmanfm if you want to save some MBs: I happily use mutt and no file manager now.
My surf configs are here: https://github.com/linuxbbq/application ... aster/surf

Today's project. Took me a little while to get this working (stupid xorg.conf).

^ that I LOVE.
I still have CRUX around and I was planning to do something with it more than some wm hopping.

^ thanks. I can give you configs if you are interested. I used the CRUX init scripts and just called them from busybox rc. xorg.conf.d is the tricky part, unless you stick with eudev.

(Or you can figure it all out for yourself, like you usually do ;)

If it continues to run well I may switch my main machine over.

Oh yes, I'll be happy to use your scripts or try to figure out how to make them work on my setup.
Honestly, I tried to make mdev work on the Pentium 4 where I have all the init systems you discussed some time ago, but never get to make it working properly (it boots fine, no mouse nor keyboard). It's still there, might get back to it. But, I'll stick with eudev and get busybox working. One step at a time. ;)

^ this is the xorg.conf problem; plus you need to build (or install) the mouse and keyboard drivers (udev/eudev just uses input-evdev, but mdev needs input-mouse and input-keyboard (or -kbd on Debian). Or do you mean you didn't have keyboard outside of X? That might be a kernel issue.

I will get the configs added to my github, but probably not until tomorrow.

^ Outside X keyboard works fine. So you are right, it is xorg.conf related.
