I have been attempting to build gnumeric on CRUX all day. They don't make it easy.



Why, you ask? Because I'm stupid, and still use gnumeric for finances and taxes. But seeing all the crap I had to build and all the pain it caused me, I will use sc from now on, and fuck you GTK, g*anything, and everything you stand for.

^ that reminds me of two things:
- I'm tired of using LibreOffice for simple tables and reports
- I just need to learn sc

^^ to go back on that GTK thing, I looked for GTK3 on Elektra and it was there! The only things using GTK3 here were Emacs and DeaDBeeF. So I purged everything gtk3 related and those two apps, then grabbed Emacs sources and compiled it with GTK2 support. Now it just feels better.

Solidarity grumpy pipers scrot. I just switched my Summer install to ratpoison.

Time to make this a shade darker. Work in progress.

Or you can darken the wp itself a bit with imagemagick.
BTW, has anybody managed to darken (adjust brightness) of images using hsetroot? It should, but it doesn't (for me). If I enter a number other than zero it just makes everything white.
