Re: sithwm
Thanks. As stated by Ivan the terrible in the evilwm section earlier: "But switching colors is now so damn easy, you cannot do anything wrong."
I built the wm, applied a background, looked up a dkeg scheme that I thought looked right for it, and:
...done.
Our resident Minister of Xresources is making this too easy.

Code: Select all
cd ~/st-0.4.1/
patch < ~/xcolors/script/patches/red2.diff
sudo make clean install

Re: sithwm
Joe, if you do the same thing on a Spring 686 base, add mpg123, and then run sudo bbqsnapshot, we got a new release ;) Just sayin'

Of course add what you like an refine as you wish. You can add the newer scripts if you like (mkmnt or the randomizer of pidsley, and links to our github) -- feel free to do whatever you like :)

I've seen it, and I stand erected. A rude spin, I must say. The BBQ approves.

Re: sithwm
Couple things not sure if this is the right place to post.
After installing and creating a new user the settings are not populated. Some of these are specific to this spin like the .sithwmrc .xinitrc etc. I think the /etc/skel needs to be updated?. This is something that also is in the spring edition and console_colrs IIRC. Just a FYI awesome spin.
EDIT scrot

Re: sithwm
Pretty sure I just cp -r'd the whole ~/ from the live session into /etc/skel. OFC, you could always grab the /usr/share/sithwm/default.sithwmrc into ~/.sithwmrc and roll on like you're one with the darkside.
Thanks for testing. (...and since this is my first time putting a spin to iso, it's probably something I did wrong.)

Re: sithwm
Happens to me every time, some of the dotfiles don't want to move or have wrong permissions. Tip of the day: copy the dotfiles one by one to /etc/skel.
@chefironbelly: you mention the Spring edition has a missing console_colors directory for the new user? Which edition is it, 486, 686, 686pae or amd64? Can you post it in the bugs section http://www.linuxbbq.org/bbs/viewforum.php?f=25 ? Many thanks!

Re: sithwm
There is a strange warmth with the darkside like staring into the darkness and knowing someone is looking back.
edit: updated scrot with clock of blood and a menu of weaponry.
