Okay, I call it a day.

That's Orion from the shimmerproject and some default Cinnamon background. The fonts are from the Fangzheng family. Don't render quite as good as Droid, but better than UMing or UKai.

Caught you in the middle or BBQing :) Looks good to me! What apps did you add to the remix?

By the way, if you want the newer >3.18 kernels to boot in a live session, go to /usr/lib/bbqsnapshot/iso/isolinux.cfg
and change union=aufs to union=overlay

Hi Bacon,

I added Libreoffice, Gtkam, Xine, Xpdf, Antix Screenshot so this one is my "fat" system. The most Lean, Lowest ram usuage of any XFCE system I have used.

I will stay with this kernel and will update Iceweasel occasionly, as the system at the moment runs so nice and stable much more than Puppy ever did. Been running this for awhile now and man its sweet. So thanks for this one.:)

Sounds reasonable enough, and not really soooo fat (well yeah, LibreOffice, that's not your fault) :) You can take a looky at /usr/local/bin/scrotsel and scrotnow, they are wrappers for scrot's selection or full screen function (the script renames and moves the scrots to ~/scrots and then opens an image viewer), and bind them to PrtScr and Shift+PrtScr, if you don't need a GUI.

Yeah, 96 MB. There are still people that think LXDE *has* to be lighter than Xfce. Just compare Darry's RAM usage with Lubuntu. :)

Thanks Simgin,

I am still amazed that a Debian based distro can be so light and lighter than Puppy and the stability also amazing - no crashes.:)

Just of interesr, I compared one of the latest Puppies - JWM/Rox desktop (Unicorn) with this XFCE based version and Roasted Roach was way lighter.

The Xresources are not read, this is xfce4-terminal with Menu bar, scrollbar and window borders turned off. And it's of course not Crunchbang :D
