Lenovo B50-10, came with no OS, now it looks like this:

Tech notes:
- shutdown/reboot hanged: had to go to BIOS > Last Tab > "OS Optimized Defaults" > and set to "Enabled"
- had to use this for the wifi: https://github.com/lwfinger/rtlwifi_new

Not a work of art, it's for a customer anyway, but I did learn 2 things: UEFI is evil and wifi is still a PITA for our beloved GNU/Linux.

^ Very nice :) XFCE is so home-y. I hate UEFI as well - a real pain the tookus. Icon theme?

Oh yes, now I remember that :D Thanks! (I don't use icon themes very often anymore!)

^ If not default (Adwaita/GNOME), I go with that when I look for icons.

I see you configured the fonts properly. Nice shot.

oh looks like win 8/10 as well, that'll fool 'em.
Good eye? Thanks, I do have to spot a badly placed comma at 8pt in a 100 line conf file.
I still can't spell basic words though :)

^^ On freetype-2.7 (compile and package it on your own in Debian), my eyes didn't pick any significant differences between that and the fully tweaked fontconfig-ultimate/infinality, other than some fonts are a little (just a little) blurry.

After using Jessie with Xfce for a certain amount of time, wow...! I am back on sid on the T400 since one month and it runs great. I have some more time to maintain an 'unstable' system and it is freeze time anyway. DU went fine apart from Thunar acting weird but it seems to be fixed as of lately.

Same old boring shit.
