I really like that vinyl drip/splash wallpaper, and I'm checking out SpectrWM. Maybe at some point I should take some fucking scrots, eh. I think I will this weekend.

I did that in my Arch system, a few days ago. Like Conky, it didn't tell me that much that was interesting to me. But, if I think up anything useful, maybe I'll try again.

You could try to change the colors of the bar, its font and font color, the bar border, as well as the focused and unfocused window borders. I usually make it fit the wallpaper (that I change around monthly)
