^ Thank you Pidsley. I have Bork arround as well and I will take a look at it.
And yes, I will not fall for the xorg "trap", it has been all over the linux forum world lately. But thank you for mentioning it, sometimes we do forget these things.

Cheers
Simon

Ahh man, industrial as always Pidsley, love it too bits. And yes, ahem, a certain pulse cab would love that man page :D
Oh the memories of Zijwaarts, it hit a nerve with me, and others of which I have noticed.

I like this! My data plan renews at midnight, and I am going to take a shot at it! :)
Btw, @pidsley your fonts are perfect! What I've been looking for. What are they? Can I get them from Jessie? I would like that for Egeszsegedre :) If I missed them in this thread somewhere my apologies.

pidsley wrote:The font is ohsnap.
Put ohsnap into /usr/share/fonts/local and add

Code: Select all

xset +fp /usr/share/fonts/local
xset fp rehash
somewhere in your .xinitrc before the "exec window-manager" line.

If you want something *similar* straight from the repositories: "ins xfonts-jmk", you will find neep and modd in the package, which might be a good alternative.

Thanks

Thanks. wmx doesn't really have "themes" -- but that is not its default look. By default it looks like the scrot in this post: http://linuxbbq.org/bbs/viewtopic.php?f ... t=0#p22673

I reconfigured it for Zijwaarts to use a different font and color for the tabs. This requires simple changes to some config files and rebuilding, but since wmx is not in the repo and must be built from source, this is not a big deal.

The way this WM operates is similar to CWM, right?

I have built a few packages from source a few times, but i need more practice, i will try to install it on Egeszsegedre today, along with the fonts you have.

I will have to search later which config files need change to implement it on my machine. Never read about this WM, looks pretty nice!

Awesome desktop, congrats! Thanks for the tip!

Download the tar file, unpack it, and read the README. Build it and get it working without customizing it first. You might not like it.
