And yes that's Mint - with a twist. (and 200+ removed packages - not that you'd notice)

Nice ;) I've once written an extension for the panel (icon > update warning/one-click upgrade), but fuck me I didn't store the script anywhere :) Maybe some fellow griller who still runs the Cinnamon BBQ can link it here?

Thanks, and yeah, mintupdate improved over time but I still look for something less clunky. MATE has a similar applet, I bet it could be adapted to Cinnamon if your extension went missing. ;)

IIRC it was really easy-peasy to write - and IIRC the tutorial was written by Clem. Will dig that up :)

Have been forced to use the fallback at work.
My dislike of stackers (for work) has been proved beyond a doubt.
Whilst everything 'works' This load is tiring.
Although there are a lot of things running (can't show all the action - too many secrets) which could be improved.
Still, it looks fairly nice.
Hopefully back to i3 monday.
