This is the 1.x version of fvwm, which looks and behaves *very* much like twm. Didn't touch a damn thing :)

- plan
- xcal
- xcalc
- tty-clock
- osd_cat

Will spend a few days customizing this fucker :) Some pretty scrots on their website: http://fvwm.org/screenshots/desktops/

I wanted to try out this wm but its way too customizable for me ;)

Have you checked out mvwm which I hear is a clean up of fvwm.

^ looks like mvwm is coming from fvwm2, not from the old 1.4 tree. Haven't tried it (same as you, customizing takes probably more time than I want to spend). Being a traditionalist asshole I'd rather waste my time playing with the 1990s WMs than modern ones :)

As they say, " Old is Gold " :)

An old scrot of mvwm from /g/'s desktop threads.

Ok, enough configuring :)

Anybody interested in testing this ISO? If yes, I push it up.

I got room for that (I know, I still have to try the fix on Standard Mixture...)

I should mention:
left-click on root window: applications menu
middle-click on root window: fvwm menu
right-click on root window: window selection

Downloading Done now... I am actually fairly excited to try fvwm again; I didn't like it about a year ago, but then I was in bloat. Perhaps it will stick this time :D

Works live, works installed (tmux session, still have to try X).
All tests done on ThinkPad T61.

I am going to check that out. Looks to me like a mix between i3 and openbox. I would not have any issues with that!
