Google developers are jealous of Stark's fancy desktop...

The webms sometimes work, maybe it's an encoding flag.
As you may have found out - mplayer works well to play them.

Yeah that specific ffmpeg command is weird, and that happens with chrom(e/ium) though works fine firefox.
And also my webms suck ( colors look washed out and crappy quality )

From now on whenever I do a screencast I'm going to do it in mkv or mp4 ( Atleast for me, they retain the color and the overall quality )

The downside of this choice are that they will be bigger in size and recorded at normal speed.

I have posted my weechat notes here

It isn't complete yet as I'm busy with exams, but i'll add more details and tweaks once I'm done with the exams ( which is going to take some time ).

^ Thanks, and no rush. I am busy myself; wouldn't be able to take advantage of it to a great extent anyway :)

came out a little faster than I thought. Hopefully its not too fast. Wanted to show off colr some more. Its proved real helpful and time saving. Well, I guess that depends on what one is looking for for customization tools. Does require .Xresources and color files to be a particular format, but once its set, you're done.

You inspired me to do some webms again !
Here is me using tmux + ii as a quick IRC client (eg, when my remote shell provider is down...)

First off, thanks!
Excellent, glad I could pay back some of them inspiration. The webm looks great, but it sucks viewing on my phone. I'll have to view again tonight.

I played a bit with iiii, but irssi or weechat ate still the go to. Honestly, I have them configured as such, at times I'll forget which I'm using.
Anyway, I'll check back in later with any specific comments.

Yeah I'm fond of my irssi setup too, but ii offer more flexibility and simplicity sometimes. My irssi session runs on a remote host, so I'm always connected. But last week, this host went down for a few days and I was glad to have ii in my toolbox to quickly join one or two channels until the host came back.

Introducing, "take off directory": http://a.pomf.se/sosmpl.mkv

It will upoad every file created in a specified directory, without asking for any input.

zebra, just a stupid comment: your previous "iirc" webm doesn't work here, I don't know if it's just me. I wanted to see ii given some love!
In the meanwhile I try your mkv :)

seems to be a chromium thing (assumption is that you are in chromium). Iceweasel is fine. IIRC others have had similar issues.
