minit - init system
Also in the repos, with a really helpful manpage :) After installation, the kernel command line needs to be altered to use init=/sbin/minit.
Of course the user needs to check which service should be started, in /etc/minit/default/
Please read the website at http://www.fefe.de/minit/ and keep in mind that LinuxBBQ's snapshot tool does not support minit as init system for remixes.

^ argh! Another one! :)
Re: minit - init system
a little out of my league here, but I had mentioned to pids that I played around a bit with minit. From what I read and learned from pids, I understand why this project, but for me, not sure if I can reap or tap the full benefits. This is really just the default result

^ Though that's a neat little tree there! And super smooth colors (or the lack of!) :)

Re: minit - init system
Nice job getting it working (try the untried and all that). And yes, once again a beautiful scrot; just enough color to make it interesting.
Re: minit - init system
^ cool scrot and well done with the experiment.

Cool Drew. Fantastic tree, a very small plant in your case. :)
