edbrowse - browser, mail client and editor

Unread post by machinebacon » Sat Jul 19, 2014 11:50 am

There's a lot of obscure stuff in the repos, but edbrowse is by far the craziest piece of software IMO. It is damned powerful, but absolutely not clicky-friendly. No, not like our 'hidden installer' - edbrowse needs users with full beard, nose hair, long yellow toenails and a lot of patience and RTFM skills.

In short,
1) get it: sudo apt-get install edbrowse
2) read this: http://the-brannons.com/edbrowse/usersguide.html#guide
3) try to use it
4) answer using edbrowse (scrot or it never happened!)

Thank you ;)

This should be the default browser in GNOME, IMO.

Wow, I had never expected this price. *emotional*

Next year's challenge: write an edbrowse script that automates writing "I can't find the installer" in a release thread of choice. First price if the thread is chosen randomly.
