Might be illegal where you live. Nevermind.
Code: Select all
wget https://get.popcorntime.io/build/Popcorn-Time-0.3.7.2-Linux32.tar.xz
tar -xvf Popcorn-Time-0.3.7.2-Linux32.tar.xz
# create a symlink, else it doesn't start
sudo ln -sf /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libudev.so.1 /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libudev.so.0
cd Popcorn-Time/
chmod 755 Popcorn-Time
#optional:
#sudo mv Popcorn-Time /usr/local/bin/popcorntime

yes, ideally used with a VPN. there is a similar plugin to Kodi (XMBC) I may have watched a few films already, also possible direct from the streaming sites.

Pretty illegal in Germany, of course. :) I think they are even trying to sue some people here. I never touched it.

Code: Select all
user@grill:~$ sudo apt-get install ttf-mscorefonts-installer
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following extra packages will be installed:
cabextract libmspack0
The following NEW packages will be installed:
cabextract libmspack0 ttf-mscorefonts-installer
0 upgraded, 3 newly installed, 0 to remove and 8 not upgraded.
Need to get 117 kB of archives.
After this operation, 339 kB of additional disk space will be used.
Do you want to continue? [Y/n]
Interesting, not here. (I removed Popcorn again because it was too slow in Old China, but can't remember it needed msfonts - you could try with the PPA in sources.list: deb
http://ppa.launchpad.net/webupd8team/popcorntime/ubuntu trusty main
)

Yikes, don't use in USA either, I got a cease & desist email this morning!
I guess I will stick with binge watching OitNB on netflix. :(
ms fonts is an undocumented dependency I read about on the AUR page.
