Loving this channel. Majority of their mixes (at least the ones I've tried so far) have that slow-burning, restrained, minimal sound that I find absolutely hypnotic. No big names, no "floor-banger" tunes, just proper vibes.

That's actually pretty nice. I like that it's not too 'bright' sounding overall. Needs some plankton though.

thanks GS. yeah i tend to prefer "muddy" over "bright". do you mean anything non-abstract by "needs some plankton", or is that free for me to interpret? :D

I don't think it's muddy sounding (unless you're listening with some rapper brand headphone which makes everything sound muddy). I like the overall balance you've got going. Plankton would mean artifacts, for lack of better term. Like a bit of pop and crackle, maybe a dash of white noise. Gives it a bit more air/space.

yeah, you're right. "muddy" was between quotation marks for that reason specifically, that i couldn't find the right term. i just mean "not so damn Hudson-Mohawke-bright that seems to be all the EDM rage right now". I like my shit more grumbly, or something. and yeah, i should spend some more time on plankton, and the term makes sense indeed. will have a look at it. currently i'm experiencing a rekindled interest in making digital music, so i'm mostly embracing that and seeing what comes of it. this happens to be one of the ones i managed to finish :D

It's weird how Nightclubber.Romania podcasts are almost always amongst my most played mixes (according to the Soundcloud app's stats), and yet I don't think I've ever posted a direct link to their page. It's a frickin treasure trove of restrained dubby grooves. If you're even remotely into the same sounds as I, the roster on the first page alone should be convincing enough;

@wux: thanks mate, have been listening to those guitar remix things quite often lately - i suppose when you want to listen to your own music that means you're doing something right. really like them. now all i need is more people who send me samples of their shit so i can remix them :D
Cool track, btw :)

@GS: thanks, had a quick listen and it sounded good. will check out more later :)

Ehi Gslob, one question: what do you think of Hanayo's Gift album? Just read Terre Thaemlitz is on it.

^ Gift is an album that requires a fair dose of dextirity. It's a challenging listen. It's been so long since I heard it. I might have a completely different opinion on it today. It was rather traumatic when I first heard it. It's strange to call a synth-pop(ish) album depressing, but that record was just so heavy.

Apologies for not posting much here lately. Figured no one was even paying attention. Anyways, here's few....

i sometimes check your links (don't listen to an awful lot of mixes, more just separate songs), but it always makes me happy to see you are still around :)
