Post your favorite electronic music shit. Anything goes as long as it electrifies your living room.

Colombian Cumbia meets Reggae meets whatever the fuck sounds good. :)

Which I wouldn't class a electronic as such, but top track.

not bad, just edgy enough to not be laid back.

Prefuse 73 was pretty much glitch hop for a while, not a massive fan.

@Wux: Translation. :)

"So much because I love you."

The song is called, "The dark girl in the Andalusian wind".

Anyone liking Dead Can Dance beside me if you are into exotic ethno sounds? It is sure more than just electronic music but still they use a lot of electronic sounds.

With images from Tarkovsky, loving it.

Not really a big fan of trance in general, but the use of space in this one gets to me.

I dig dark ambient, but it's an acquired taste. Inade is a nice example.

The Ping of Kop!!
Joking aside, this guy makes some of the densest techno around. It lives and breathes.

It must be all that radioactive water they drink in Japan.

Another one from those in my "greatest house albums nobody heard" list. Actually one track, but split in two by the label that re-issued (originally 2006) the album this year.
[yt]99yPUgvDhdY[/yt]
[yt]mgNxwesviyI[/yt]

Anthem from my "formative" years. I remember my underaged self walking into Zouk (famous club) for the first time and being utterly blown away when the vocal samples in this hit.

Jazzy shit. Here's the Bandcamp if you're interested.

Selfish half-plug. The guy who runs this label is a friend. I used to help out (actually, I was one of the co-owners) with his old label - should have some free releases on there somewhere, even if they don't release new stuff anymore. The new label is subscription based, but you can preview the tracks.

fuck me, too much to respond in one go.

@wux: good tracks man, and some of Prefuse 73's shit, or under his various monikers, is really awesome. also see the Hiphop thread, where that song could just as easily go :) Hrvatski is fantastic as well. the complexity in that reminds me of whathisface, Otto von Schirach, but he is a lot less "serious" about it. the following is a better example of his insanity than his complexity, but who cares. check it:

[yt]7PVbAYHCGrM[/yt]

@DJ: i think trance is, in most cases, just pussy house ("ooooh we cant stand too many hard beats, we need lush melodies or it will all become too harsh!"), but some of the tracks are just really, really good. as for your dark ambient, that track sounds very nice, reminds me of Alan Stott, Forest Swords, Holy Other ("officially" genrefied as "Witch House"), and more names i cannot recall cause i am not at my laptop :)
also, the intriguingly named oOoOO:

@GS: nooo that's insane, your friend runs the Cut label!? that shit is quite consistently awesome! i am actually subscribed to the newsletter and bought a couple of releases of it... Alex is his name, i think?
btw, some supergood shit there man, thanks :)

some slightly weirder beats from Roel Funcken. sadly, his album Mercury Retrograde is not on Youtube in its entirity so i cannot give you the track i wanted to give you (Dialp), but this will definitely do:

[yt]pZ1cneFcQ9s[/yt]

also just came across this mix of his that does feature Dialp plus a whole other bunch of cool stuff: http://electronicexplorations.org/?show=roel-funcken

^ Yeah, Alex Cowles aka DFRNT.

Thanks for the ElectronicExplorations link. I'm currently at their Bandcamp page.

Not sure if I've done anything here, but I often rant about how jungle/drum-n-nass just isn't as good as it was back during the "golden years" (mid/late 90's). Here's what I'm talking about;
http://www.xlr8r.com/podcast/2013/01/ulrich-schnauss
First time I stumbled onto that mix last year - saw the tracklist and almost felt like crying. Was basically my childhood (well, teenager-hood, to be precise). Modern shit just doesn't compare.

Having said that, I still go a bit fuzzy whenever one of the old guard takes to the decks;
http://www.fabriclondon.com/blog/view/a ... ession-mix
Still knows how to keep a groove going, even if the content isn't as strong as it used to be.
