Listened to both Long Trax (not the Sprinkles overdubs, though) and Long Trax 2. Thanks, man, this is exactly the electronic sounds that suit me best.

^ Does Long Trax Pt.1 even have a Bandcamp/digital release now? I recallmentioning it on this thread, but don't think there was a (legal) digital release at the time.

Also, since I'm in the mood, remember when I mentioned Francis Harris? I forgot about Frank & Tony (Francis Harris and Anthony Collins). They've also got a lot of similar stuff. Maybe not quite as "soft-handed" with the beats as Sprinkles or Long, but definitely similar in terms of chord arrangement;

Also, you may as well check out the whole Scissor & Thread label while at it. You might find something.

Long Trax Pt. 1 came to me through some Russian geeks ;)

Thanks for the tips, I'll go hunting.

Will Long mentioned Muslimgauze in an interview, and now I am completely hooked on his Veiled Sisters.

^ I wouldn't say Muslimgauze sounds similar to them, but yeah, he was the man. R.I.P.
Can you imagine anyone from England today having the balls to release albums or tracks with titles like "Vote Hezbollah" or "Hamas Arc"?
...and Veiled Sisters is a stunning album, also much easier to get into compared to his other stuff.
One of my personal favourites

^ Thanks, added to my list for the next days.

No deep-house, yes, I don't even know how to label him to be honest. But superb music anyway.

Djrum - Portrait With Firewood [R&S]
Still not sure how I feel about this album. It's got moments of insane beauty, but makes you work for it. Some tracks will almost totally put you off at the beginning with wierd snares or overly energetic beats, and then you're suddenly overwhelmed by the most emotional chords or synth wirk, and then it'll drop you off a clif into some schizophrenic bassline....

I like the Djrum fella's stuff FWIW...
yeah production is top notch, quite hard to make quite 80's sounds (808 clap, woodblock, broken sounding linn drum snares and on 'sex' that bloody wood marimba organ sound ) sound newer
my point here being a lot of dance music sounds just like bloody 808 state. 30 years ago. and apart from the heavy 303 in use that album doesn't actually sound dated by the machines.
mini rant over

Vril Haus EP [Giegling]
Just arrived in the mail. You can hear the Shinichi Atobe influence all over the title track.

To me it feels more driving past a beachfront (sea on right, neon lights on left, coconut trees on side of road) in a convertible just after dusk, wearing a Hawaiian shirt :P
Nice find. Some of it's cheesy, but the good stuff is actually quite good. Shame that I can't seem to find that Resonance track on any of his Bandcamp released albums. I'd buy that. It's actually quite chilling after continously banging that Vril EP (don't worry, I ripped it, record would've been skinned dry by now if not the case) I linked above constantly over the last few hours.

...and since we're on this synthwave trip;

^Hey - I'm glad to find something you haven't heard before :D
Plus - I haven't got much of an imagination :D
I heard of him on a choco mountain N64 docu - the last track (on the doc) was the one I liked
most (just after the one you like oddly) - finally landing.
Even my 13 yo daughter thought it was ok... I mean wow.
plus 23! "HOME" is ONLY 23! that mofo - wish him all the best

PS https://midwestcollective.bandcamp.com/album/odyssey
you have to buy the whole album (at 1.99USD pff) to get resonance?

PS you must be having a good effect on me, I just bought the album I liked. much cheaper off bandcamp than google play :D

^ Had no idea he put out work on the Midwest Collective label (that's the same label that other synthwave album I linked above was released on as well). I only found his self-published Bandcamp page earlier. Thanks chief.

^ LOL, yeah. Noticed it now. I have this bad habit of disregarding those Buy buttons (because, more of then than not, they end up taking me to an iTunes, Amazon or physical media distributor) and looking for a Bandcamp link at the top left section of the page instead, which in this case only took me to his self published page with two albums.

WTF, I thought this place died. YAY, my life has meaning again!!

Some of blokes @ the BoysLove BunsenLabs forum wanted some ambient shit, so I prepared a short list of some good (imho) ambient/downtempo/experimental albums found on Bandcamp; https://buymusic.club/list/glittering-s ... 18-edition
