^ I still have to listen to it. I have a Naked City record at home somewhere, but I remember only good music from him.

Again, another classic. I got it on vinyl as a present for my birthday and though I know this record inside-out it still is a pleasure.

If this album was a man and could look back it'd surely see the future.

Enter Don Cherry.
One of the pioneer of the 'new thing', one that was there when it all happens. Instead of going with his works with Ornette Coleman (which you should listen to anyway), let's explore some of its solo works.

This is one of those records you must experience in your room, only you and the music, a spiritual trip on the other side.

Survived that? Good, now something pretty cool in this less-known effort

And then with my man Albert, here

^ St. Germanin samples a lot of stuff, though I don't think I've heard Montgomery licks in his albums. I might be wrong though.

Mingus, can't live without his music. This may be my favorite Mingus's tune. It sure comes from my favorite Mingus's record.

Yeah, but it turned into one of those situations when you can resist everything but temptation ;) I hope he will do it in a kinky way though, with this as a soundtrack;

Sometimes I feel like contemporary jazz missed a great chance not to follow the South America sounds early masters like Davis and Mingus understood. Gato Barbieri should be mandatory, anyway.
