Flamenco
I guess many of you know about my passion for the hot southern Spanish music. This would be the thread for it. Rather than doing a Spanish section, it would be too diverse, I chose one for Flamenco. Of course it can be from other countries and styles exist many, even with Electronica etc.
Let's begin smooth.

I enjoy listening to it, but I really don't know anything about it.

Re: Flamenco
Maybe a little introduction by Wikipedia.
Of course one track more. You all know the Gipsy Kings. It is not real Flamenco, it is more a kind of Rumba Catalana but I will put it here as a wider definition of Spanish guitar music.
Though rather than posting already known songs I go with something mixed with Arabic music, a big influence in Flamenco.

I'm sure I will get into trouble for this, but I like it. Roy Clark could neither read nor write a note of music, but boy, could he play!

Re: Flamenco
Hope this classifies as flamenco... The guy plays with a pick, so that's not it in the classic sense, but it sounds good, so there's that. :)

It's older, but greatly represents that rasgueado strumming style in flamenco guitar music.

Re: Flamenco
Ivan,
I think that is worth mentioning Pata Negra as they are pioneers along side with Camaron de la Isla, El Lebrijano and of course Paco de Lucia as they introduced the fusion in the Flamenco world in the late 70's - 80's....now days we have El Nani, Lin Cortez, Alba Molina (daughter of Lole y Manuel) Vicente Amigo & Falete just to mention a few....I loved traditional Flamenco (purista) but don't get me wrong a bit of fusion in Flamenco is always good for a change don't you agree?
Here's a little treat for you Flamenco lovers...Tomas de Perrate (son of Perrate de Utrera) por bulerias: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5X6L2LqmnXo & https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-Zdo8O_CnE (in this last video we have the beautiful (super HOT) Alba Molina...:P as a collaborator with El Perrate.
Almost forgot to mention El Bicho another great Flameno bands with a great jazz/punk fusion.
