I thought someone could enjoy it. :)

One of my fave pieces of Bach from the Matthäus Passion, Erbarme dich mein Gott, with one of the best singers, a Hungarian, Julia Hamari:

I was singing this in the choir. :D

^^ Beautiful version.

This topic would deserve several sub-forums. I like mostly those whose names start with B or M (no Mozart, thanks).

Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E minor, IMO the perfect version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0tqdhbnpn8

Fantastic Bacon.

Sure, we can split it into different epochs and even fill it with non-western classical music, like Arabic or Turkish e.g.

Indeed sir! and that aria is amazing. That's awesome, you were in that choir? I've watched that particular video many times, nice!

I believe the scene is supposed to be Judas Iscariot being like shit, I'm fucked.

I wanna repost it here with a different vocalist.
Jonathan Peter Kenny, a counter tenor, and this one is on a bit more period instruments.
He's truly amazing and I love how he watches her bow and articulates with it.

I like watching her bow too me gusta.

Not in that one :) but I was taking part in the Passions of Bach singing as a child and later as an adult in a choir devoted to the music of Bach though never as a soloist.

Thanks for this version, great violin and I love the tenor.

^ Thanks Doc, lately I have been hunting for Bach and Beethoven and just can't get enough of those. But the list for classical keeps getting longer ;)

No Mozart, Julius? Not even Requiem? Tough to find a performance that doesn't make the opening Adagio a plodding glop of cholesterol, though. Here's one worth a listen (starts at 2:25)...

No? Your hairs don't start tingling at 3:50-4:20 or 6:00-6:30, to name a couple?

You really can't go wrong with Chopin! As much as I love some of the really weird and crazy music I often listen to, I do have a soft spot for classical music. Piano pieces in particular. I completely zoned out to that Chopin piece.
