oh fuck me, not that Skihut shit. (international: Ski = ski, hut=cabin, refers to apres-ski parties). it's so damn bad, it just makes me sad to hear it.
although i must say, if i don't think of how bad it is some songs can be fun, like some of the stuff by Gebroeders Ko, notably their hit "Zonnebril", i quite dig. but that's also i think cause it is a proper song, written by themselves with music by themselves, not some fucking apres-ski remix with a fat beat and stupid lyrics like most of them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1OalkkdeL0

oh well, just hearing it again now makes me think "fuck this shit" XD

come on we must be able to do some proper Dutch music up in here, this is just the awful shit. uhmmmmm...

Bong Ra's remix of DAC's "Doorhalen" is worth a listen, i think: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KU6LFEXiITI
if you're into hiphop and breakcore, that is.

Maybe some interesting stuff...
Local heroes :) This band is from the same municipality where I live.
Their soundengineer (Lauwrence de Vries) is a friend of mine, and they are using linux for recordings, etc.
IMO very nice Indie Rock (even though a younger RMS is playing the bass) :P

Not 100% Dutch (Jack Parow is from South Africa) but still worth to mention. De Kraaien are from The Hague, the Dutch Music capital. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-q4xQkL4Liw

I don't know if Angerfist qualifies. He is Dutch, but I think everything he's done has been in English.
Still, he is my favorite Dutch artist. This one song does it for me.
Sir! Put down the hammer and slowly step away from the computer.

^^ hahahaha shit, forgot about that one. that accent though :D

^ Angerfist is your favorite Dutch artist? you must either be really into hardcore/gabber, or just not know many other Dutch artists :D
although listening to this track it seems he went in a slightly different direction with his music, this is more drum n bass type bass music stuff. this is what I know Angerfist from: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LIMltgMqO8 - decidedly different - still fucking love that track though.

^ yeah - sounds as if he's mellowed in old age...
or maybe the americans prefer that whoopy wah-wah stuff, rather than the dutch hardcore I know.

Some stuff from Groningen.
Noisia - Could this be: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeF1ZvA2IEQ
A fun project from Noisia is 'De Huilende Rappers', perhaps one of most hilarious dutch rap-acts ever.

The guys from Noisia worked with acts like Korn, but a local band Dope D.O.D. too.

^You're welcome :)

Another 'great' dutch classic band :)
Believe it or not, it was a bigger hit in the US and Canada (nr 1) than overhere..

A 'dunglish' version of 'Flappy' (one of the most famous dutch X-mas songs).

Today Hans Vermeulen passed away, I remembered him from my dads records and I still love that older music.
