Mina and Ivano Fossati (two of the greatest when it comes to popular music in Italy) did a great record last year: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=O ... e3VBIv-jPo

Patty Pravo when she was good, was good: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=O ... 0Ke0c7qhIc

Equal parts funk, disco, afrobeat, but I feel this is best posted on this thread.
Had this album for a few years. Put in on today, came on forum and did a search. Surprised I hadn't shared it yet (eithr that or my search-fu sucks);

I remember you shared something with Nu Guinea involved, so I bumped into this while searching similar music.

^ There is a volume 2 I didn't notice. Great corny stuff again.

^ Thanks for the reminder. On this very thread even. >_<

Was the Napoli scene during late 70s to mid 80s really like that, I wonder. Must've been quite the place.

Also seems like Neopolitan/Bellearic disco-funk wiz Pellegrino Snichelotto (no guarantees I spelled that right) is at it again. New find thanks to BC's you-may-also-like list at bottom of page; https://earlysounds.bandcamp.com/album/morph

I guess what they say is true. You Italians really do it better.

Only with music. The rest has been pretty going downwards since ages.

^Thank you, that is a very beautiful song. I do not listen to much Italian music nowadays, but remember him as one of the greatest. R.I.P

Margherita Vicario's new record, Bingo, could easily become my guilty pleasure of the year. The fact that she laughs at the whole horrible Italian trap scene makes her an instant favourite.

^ I think I heard something about piña colada in one of her songs somewhere. It was pretty hilarious.

This is a new project from dudes I've been following for a while, but it's not punk nor hardcore. It's something weird, Spanish and South America vibes here and there.

First live concert in a while tonight: Margherita Vicario on stage around 9pm. It's also my first time in a masked and vaccine-loaded crowd, I guess.

^ It was in the open, so no masks, but we had to prove with a document the vaccine was in our blood. Vicario was fun and good, she re-worked some of her songs live which is something I always appreciate and she's great on stage overall. The opening act, however, was a ridiculous Italian version of some k-pop inferno. Anyway, got me a signed vinyl of her latest record, so I'm happy.

Something not from Napoli, for a change. :)
