How could there possibly be no disco thread yet?! I get down to this funk almost daily. I will kick it off with some Canned Heat and Double Dutch Bus :)

Jamiroquai, the funkiest guys :)

You say disco, I say Saturday Night Fever: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lk-leyRlSiQ

The Bee Gees generally were *very* disco in mid-70:
Boogie Child - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyqmwoCWHYs
Can't keep a good man down - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltw_zvmCx4U

The first full-synth disco track, by Donna Summer
I feel love - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06a_Xi1AU9s

Kool and the Gang, must mention.
Fresh - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NChc__dH3jA

Chiq?
Good times! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKl6EZShaaw
which is not
Another one bites the dust - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UIZ2bTS2oM

Long live disco ;)

I wish I knew, Wux. I have never been to a disco or roller disco such as the ones I have heard about in the 70's and 80's. My friend and I had an on-going joke that we were going to open up a 1970's Roller Disco called "The Creamery".

Hey I'm not that old... not been to one in the 70's / 80's either :p apart from school.

Rhow: the original-
Sylvester - ...mighty real

Although Jimmy does an excellent job.

Wrong thread again, I think i've posted this though, thanks to radio normandie for the spot.
Boney M - Gotta Go home:

Disco drum beat for me is a boom-tiss-boom+clap repeat, pretty much house music - which is why I'm surprised our "resident tranny" isn't in here showing us some choons :P

That is funny, I was just sitting here thinking that :D It does sound very reminiscent of house music. No wonder Boney M was based in Germany...
