Stoner Rock

Unread post by ivanovnegro » Fri Jan 09, 2015 6:57 pm

With some help of Kex we can fill this section with some desert rock music, flat guitar riffs and rhythmic drums.

I begin with something light, not truly Stoner but who cares about the exact genre.

Have a cigar. Or a joint. Or a can of Skoal Long Cut Cherry. Or what have you ;)

This whole album comes pretty close to perfect in my book, but here's the last song:

Couple of things from one of my favourite genres.
Spiritual Beggars - Demons (full album): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mER5o6ErHKY
That main riff after the intro song in the second track though. Ooooh. Tickles me in all kinds of places.

Dozer - Rising: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Enpt5RmHoU

And I think I've mentioned this, but Red Fang - Prehistoric Dog: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VufilzHKTqk
And couple more brilliant videos from those dudes:

Random terrible things.

Ok, so as I think about it, Pink Floyd may not exactly be stoner rock. The only other options in my library that I would categorize as such would probably be

Kyuss' "One Inch Man" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAXGu81Rk1g

Blue Cheer's Vincebus Eruptum Full Album https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FafdwvD6qw0

Love the Spiritual Beggars album, great stuff.

Classic Fu Manchu; low everything, great riff, and lyrics nobody understands. Love them.

Some Orange Goblin:

And one for Ivan, they're from Novi Sad I think.

This one might not exactly be stoner rock, but I can't find the song I wanted (Through Water) on Youtube, so it'll have to do :)

Stumbled upon this today, Liquid Sound Company, these guys are stoned out smoking pure acid rock! That was the hype :D Quite cool actually.
