The full album (a playlist, as there is no upload of it in its entirety on YouTube):

Sleep - Dragonaut
Now that I think about it, this has a touch of the song Lord of this World from Black Sabbath..

Speaking of the devils, was Black Sabbath considered stoner rock? Or would you consider them the forefathers to stoner? I typically associate the genre with Kyuss, Sleep and Fu Manchu.
Black Sabbath - After Forever
Fu Manchu - Orbiter

^ I bet every stoner guitarist has a poster of Tony Iommi hidden somewhere.

^ That.
You could even call them the forefathers of Heavy Metal, and Doom Metal. Every album is different and has something of the styles mentioned though I only listen to the recordings with Ozzy. :P After Ozzy the sound changed dramatically to classical Metal with Dio.
For me Black Sabbath with Ozzy never was a Metal band, it was one of the best Hard Rock bands with a unique sound.
Edit: Example for the Doom reference, the first record of Black Sabbath with the same name and here the song with the same name, too. Slow riffs, very dark lyrics:

to be honest, i have never liked Black Sabbath, and think The Cardigan's version of Iron Man is a million times better than the original (

@rho I hadn't heard of The Cardigans before! Good stuff; I agree, their cover of "Iron Man" is quite nice.

will check it out guys. and completely understand the sentiment. this music simply has never had any factor in my youth so if i want to appreciate it i cannot rely on nostalgia, and the stuff i know from them i simply dislike (i fucking hate it when the vocal melody is identical to the guitar melody, hence i dont like their "Iron Man" :) - in the mean time, aside from the whole bat-tdhing, the only Black Sabbath related thing i enjoyed are Venetian Snares' Sabbath Dubs, which are essentially sorta dub-techno-ish tracks on the theme of Black Sabbath:

I've been listening to Vista Chino's first album, Peace. Vista Chino is almost Kyuss, with 2 or 3 original members, so it can be considered kind of a continuation (although Josh Homme refused to join, so that's a major link missing). These are the two songs that I think are the best:
Adara
Barcelonian
It's a good record, but John Garcia's singing just doesn't cut it in some of the songs, imo

Yeah, I also like it Kex.
How about the new album of Black Sabbath? It surprised me, e.g.:

One thing though, I was never a fan of Rick Rubin's sound production on the drums.
