Lennie Niehaus is a jazz arranger, notably for Clint Eastwood. Many good things from this great jazzman.

Claudia's Theme - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6eTJwJ5Nt0
The Bridges of Madison County - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WleD60o7mg

Sadly not many things online, but he did a lot of interesting works.

I was watching Fincher's 2011 American English version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo with the closed captioning turned on and every time a song would start playing in the movie (it's called diegetic sound when it comes from something in the film's world.), the subtitles would say something like 'not meant for this world, by [artistName] plays through headphones'. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross came out with a huge two-disc/three-hour-long OST for the movie, but the songs I wanted weren't on it.

Turns out the movie has a sort of hidden/secret OST.

I've compiled it here: http://paste.debian.net/143167/

For those of you whom enjoyed this information, the website http://www.what-song.com is awesome for finding non-OST songs.

^ Dude... this is awesome :D Thanks, dd! I never thought of looking for something to sauce those backround tunes that don't make it on the soundtrack release.

The soundtrack is maybe the most interesting part for me in the classic anime as in the remake. :)

I'm not a gamer, i don't play video games, but a couple of years ago, a friend suggested to listen to Darren Korb and his great game OST (Bastion is the name of the game). I was hooked, instantly. Been a fan of his compositions since then.

Anyway here's his newest soundtrack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uH3Aoj1nw58

I still don't think it's quite on-par to his second release (Transistor OST, that one was mesmerizing). Anyway, if any of you have other great game-OST-songs, tell me more.

^ Bastion is an excellent game, and yeah, the soundtrack does a lot to add to the experience. It's one of the few iOS games that I bothered buying and actually completing (played it on an ex-girlfriend's iPad with headphones). Been wanting to try out Transistor, but just can't seem to find the free time to give it proper attention.

Not necessarily a soundtrack, but it sounds like one. Dunno what kind of genre this is, but it's totally amazing (at least to my ears)
