Deep Purple in Rock, now that is a good one.
With a classic like Child in Time, an all fave of course.
It was often played on German television Space Night, I loved the program when going to sleep at late night.

Classic Rock (1970)
Re: Classic Rock (1970)
Don't know how classic this actually is, but I like Ry Cooder's debut: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2MFPys ... B52B221B06
Re: Classic Rock (1970)
^nice one. i'd say it qualifies these days. most of my music is older than i.
i've always been a bit fan of Dr Hook. anyone who lets Shel Silverstein write their material is ok with me.

all of the blues-based 60s and 70s material was great.

hendrix, the stones, pink floyd - i still think they're the closest thing rock has to classical music. they use silence like a painter uses negative space. - , and the animals are my favorites.
the animals...who expected a group of well-dressed, clean-cut kids to play some pretty good blues.
