^ In the past - maybe even today - PAL converted films are also sped up by 4% (that's the 1 fps difference between film and PAL), but this is another reason :D

That is awesome and as Frank said, genius, to be able to conceive such a machine let alone use it to make music. I like the pachinko concept of moving and dispersing the balls.

yeah I thought it worth a share. At first I thought the balls played at random, but no - there looks like a lego track which is the 'punch-card' (piano-roll) of the glockenspiel, with the balls being dropped on the notes, as does the bass, but I think he plays the fretboard.
