Soul / Motown / Gospel

Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding, Dionne Warwick, Dusty Springfield, Tom Jones, whatever you find soulful, drop it here!

Dusty Springfield - Dusty in Memphis. She is always reduced to the "Son of a preacher man", but actually there's a bit more substance in her material:

A heavenly blend is Dionne Warwick singing Burt Bacharach's classics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CdTeVkJIGA

Aretha's Natural Woman - IMO one of her best efforts - is on this album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQx7sYSA9U8

Nice compilation of what we all know but never knew who it was:

Nina Simone - quite close to the blues, but still full of soul: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUZL6gsuAmQ

Mish-mash of genres, but the overall vibe fits this thread best. If you don't smile to this, you're a soulless twat.

Curtis Harding put out an album last year which I just heard, but I’m linking the album he released before that, mainly because I’m listening to it now and noticed I hadn’t shared it here, and boy does it need to be shared.

https://curtisharding.bandcamp.com/album/face-your-fear

Probably the closest thing to vintage Motown/Gaye/Mayfield sounds you’ll hear in the current era.

^ One of the best records to wake up on a Sunday morning with a cup of tea/coffee while watching out the window and think "yeah, it feels good right now".
