Opera

I am ignorant as an armchair when it comes to opera, and yeah I know I am Italian and plenty of the greats are from here.

From reasons totally unrelated to music, I started with Giovanni Battista Pergolesi. To be more precise, from Stabat Mater. This is not the version I have, but should give you an idea anyway: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHQVtYzjLao

Suggestions are more than welcome.

^ Good stuff. I'm as ignorant as you are on the genre. My knowledge basically extends to Ave Maria renditions, some Pavarotti, and that famous Fifth Element scene. I know I've got some LPs on the genre, but those were from long ago and mostly used as overlay tracks back when I worked nights in a past life.

You all know I love music but where I am totally ignorant that is on this subject even though I lived for the most part in a city full of Wagner, his grave, his opera house and so on. Nice to see it here.
