musics, bitches

Unread post by rhowaldt » Tue Jun 25, 2013 9:19 am

this is the place to talk about shit that sounds. you can post videos (of musics) and the like, but please remember our hardcore non-multimedia members and also mention the damn artist and damn title in plain damn text, alright? cuz that's the KISS (Keep It Silly, Steve) principle.

anywhichway, let's go.

ABBA is awesome. anyone who disagrees has no taste in music. discuss.

i think ABBA's like LSD, nice once in a blue moon, taken with friends, nice glass of wine.
My kids went through a stage of watching Mama mia, non-stop. kinda burns.

ABBA's like... well... what is ABBA?

Röyksopp (Wikipedia) feat. Robyn (Wikipedia) - The Girl And The Robot (2009)
[BBvideo 560,340]http://youtu.be/-EJUCkSMN4k[/BBvideo]
It's a little more pop than I would normally stand for, but Robyn is a sweetheart and Röyksopp are just some awesome guys. So with this one, it just works.

Jean Michel Jarre (Wikipedia) - La Chanson des Granges Brûlées (1973)
[BBvideo 560,340]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oPfR619t550[/BBvideo]
I've been listening to Jarre for most of my life. This track in particular has stuck with me.

ABBA is one of the best inventions musically and with regards to recording technology, and just like with the Bee Gees in the mid-70s, it's really polarizing. Any musician should listen to these bands without prejudice and have a close look on how music should be written, produced, recorded and performed. Nothing about the musical style.

(And thanks Rhosy for the thread, was about time...) :)

baconface just made a valid point, plus: you're welcome dear :)

as i'd hate to see this thread go the old cliche'd way of all music threads everywhere (meaning that it ends up a youtube-thread only), let's get talking about music here. (don't mean you cannot post youtube-stuff, in fact, that is great! i just like to make it varied a bit).

so, which music is good to have sex to?

Rage Against The Machine if it's your ex.
Robbie Williams if she's playing hard to get.
Wutang Clan if you just picked her up in a shady bar.

I disagree. The only song to have sex with your ex to is this:
