I have gone so crazy that I am already buying tapes because I actually still have a cassette deck. Fucking quarantine. I mean all the money for beer has to go somewhere. :)

Just heard from my favourite record store here in Vicenza that it's open again. So I promptly ordered "All Mirrors" (coloured vinyl, because I'm hip) and next week I'll be there holding it in my gloved hands.

I know, I shouldn't spend money in frivolous things right now, but let's say I'm all in for supporting record stores and it's not just me being a crazy collector, shall we?

^Crazy collector??? Of course not. We all applaud the support of independent entrepreneurship.

Just an old Iron Maiden song in the link, "Phantom of the Opera."

Don't even know how to call this, but I find it hypnotic.

^ She's mostly known for "electro-acoustic ambient" if you're intent on pigeon-holeing. Her album before that, The Flower and the Vessel, was also pretty good. Aside from what's listed on her Bandcamp page, I suspect you'll also like this;

EdiT:
Actually, just check out the entirety of Shelter Press, the label she releases on most of the time. A lot of good stuff. Eli Keszler's Stadium - https://shelterpress.bandcamp.com/album/stadium - is another fave of mine from the label.

If you post something and Gutterslob approves it, it must be good. :)

^ Wouldn't go that far. I do think I'm light-years ahead of Pitchfork though. =P

Don't let the operatic intro in the first track throw you off. Just keep listening till the vocals come in before you pass judgement. If you like that, I reckon you'll love the rest of this album; https://beverlyglenn-copeland.bandcamp. ... mal-prayer

A couple of lists of recent (and not so recent) Bandcamp purchases for the whole #BLM thing. Figured I'd share here. I lean electronic, but the first two or three albums on each list offer a bit of diversity, hence why I'm posting here.

Another live gig via streaming. I appreciate the effort and I am always eager to support my favourite artists if I can, but I miss a proper live concert.

I probably posted this band somewhere but it is still one of my fave bands from Beirut:

I think the whole catalog is on Bandcamp:

If you are into Trip Hop fused with Indie.

"but please remember our hardcore non-multimedia members and also mention the damn artist and damn title in plain damn text, alright? cuz that's the KISS (Keep It Silly, Steve) principle."
Sorry to bring back a calf, but curious about this, and also can share here. 2 pts my nonsense: 1 post.
Please tell me the actual Lightweight browsers OG's use, that can still do media? ( I like Lynx, but I like youtube...)

I enjoy 89% of music. I appreciate everything everyone posts on music. If I don't get out of my comfort zone and try more, I will never learn anything new, and i will remain small. I prefer Dub, Reggae, Nu-metal, Punk, Alternative, techno, Hip Hop. i can listen to most. Please continue to broaden my horizons.
Thank You!
(I remember when debian "non-gui" installer scared me. #never-forget)

^ that rule was mostly for the fact we had a youtube board plugin, which had a preview window, then it broke so you couldn't see the track info.
It's also just polite and nice to mention the artist - song before you click on it and maybe get something you didn't want to listen to.
There are also youtube commandline 'readers' I think, like yt-download
"Seek, and Ye shall find"
"Github | Chooons | Site"
