^ The first print was supposedly very good-looking and is being traded on Discogs for diabolical amounts. I suppose it's good I discovered the album late.
I wrote to my favourite (a.k.a. the only decent one) record store here to check if there is a chance to get it there. I can't stop listening to it now, so thanks a lot for this tip.

Speaking of beautiful (and also sold out) vinyl re-issue of Coil - Musick To Play In The Dark;

Have to say, the album's aged pretty well (Bandcamp player embedded)
Oh yes. One of my beloved treasures is The Ape of Naples in a beautiful digipak. Going to put it on now. :)

Some are already running for their best-of-the-year list. Madness.

Well, it is December after all...

I don't think I've ever sat down to seriously do a best of year list. There's too much good music. In that sense I'd probably fail at a worst of year as well, since there's just as much garbage.

One thing I can say with confidence is that nobody would have the same best of lists as I (if I bothered with lists, that is), at least when it comes to music.
Whether that's a good or bad thing is another matter. Maybe I should start my own site. PitchTent. Yeah, we'll go with that....

Pitchfork putting Róisín Machine at #17 offends me.

^ You're really liking that album eh. I'm guessing you've probably fervently dug back for her discography. I'm sorry for your wallet.

Oh, PitchTent's new hire posting on the electronica thread, fyi.

I encountered this on Bandcamp. A beautiful album. It is kind of spacey Shoegaze with some 90s vibes, very atmospheric.

Doesn't belong in any specific genre thread, but it's one heck of a comp;

Has something for everyone, I reckon.

A mix of funk, soul, R&B (and a pinch of Róisín for that newly minted fanboy who shall not be named); https://soundcloud.com/honeysoundsystem ... -t-o-l-v-e

To my surprise I found out that they have released an album last year! And it sounds decent enough too.

I don't know, I somehow got the feeling this would be something our Ivan could enjoy.

Found something that makes me nostalgic. I always loved some Dark Wave back in the 90s.
