Not really sure where this fits with the gazillion sub-genre threads here. It's clearly rock, but it's a mix of fusion, prog, Zappa, whatever. All I know is the guitarist is probably my favourite of the modern era, and the bassist and drummer are equally badass. This is probably the best studio album they've put out. Been so out of the loop with rock music that I'm two years late finding out about this album. Shameful!!
