Herbie Hancock sometimes sounds pretty weird. :)

I am on a road trip back home this weekend. So there are quite a few lonely hours in the car. Decided to trip away those hours with listening solely to Grateful Dead this time. One of my favorite tracks are "Terrapin Station".

Ended up in a Grateful Dead loop. Really stuck in their musical universe. Found a new favorite track though, "Estimated Prophet".

Kind of weird putting this in my ears with the sunny weather outside, but yes, it can be done.

I missed this, but I moved on from the Dead a long while ago. Still, a spot in my heart for reasons not 100% related to music will be always theirs. I recommend exploring their huge collection of bootlegs, because I think that's the best way to experience their music.

Random notes:

- boygenius' is already one of my favourite of the year
- new Janelle Monae is a planet I don't much care about which is bad news because I've been following her since the first singles.

New music from Rolling Stones, "Angry". From their forthcoming album "Hackney Diamonds".

New Roisin Murphy is finally here (I know it took me a while). Today I'll be all ears on this, and report back.

^ By the way, I totally missed the storm around her puberty blockers burst and her following comment on X. I don't know, I have mixed feelings about this, even though I always tell myself the artist is one thing and the person behind them is another.

The record seems rather gorgeous, though, so this makes things even more complicated.

New Sufjan Stevens is out and I hadn't listened to it yet. The man seems to be back at its Michigan and Chicago days, which is great news even though Carrie & Lowell is still pretty special to me.

New Angie McMahon is here. Vinyl ordered, but I won't resist the digital format.

^ On that "vinyl ordered" thing: between that and another record I bought today I collected a total of about 40€ just for delivery. I do hope for a safe expedition and robust packages at least.
