Something out of the lands of hardcore:

- Cap'n Jazz: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipsjDHY ... Feij4k6x5v
- Rorschach: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqXIx-YtACc

Noise is still something I go back to, and AmRep records hold up well enough for me:

- Hammerhead: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVpYfVlI-BU
- Janitor Joe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZGwamlo6zE
- Lubricated Goat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyLV3Q71RHk

Probably it's just because 2 songs from this record are in Mann's Miami Vice, but I have found myself listening to it way too much for my nowadays tastes. I've always preferred Rage Against the Machine (and still do), but this album (and this album only!) feels like a good companion when driving from and to the office.

I love Audioslave and that record is great even though I am one that really loves the first one too despite sounding like Rage with Chris Cornell as vocalist and it reminds me always as my time when I was a student. I probably even listened more to Audioslave than Rage.

Let's go heavier.

Found this awesome Converge live set: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFptHiFYmXI

And I'm back into them: Jane Doe, You Fail Me, and The Dusk in Us are in heavy rotation.

Then I wanted something from ISIS, though I know they disbanded years ago. Turner formed SUMAC, and has been going on with this incarnation for a while now. A snippet from the latest record: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwmeIbwlv9M

Can't really stop now. These sounds come and go from my life with surprising regularity.

Cave In - Until Your Heart Stops https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swnnclDOvyo
Code Orange - I Am King https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZCL_AW9HiY
Disfear - Live the Storm https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-InYSI ... Eeg8oMPBYj
High on Fire - De Vermis Mysteriis https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2jfiq8Vgnw (this is on heavy rotation more than the others)
Torche - Meanderthal https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gd0b9kbG8g0

Then I wanted something slightly different:

Pygmy Lush - Bitter River https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nh2nweX ... -MEMAAEkEm

New Tool single is floating around the web. I think I'll wait for the whole record on the 30th.

^ Same here. I will be patient.

In the meantime I listen to some older Baroness record, I think it is my favorite, the Red Album.

^ Great record.

You know what? Despite what I said before, I am finally getting excited for the new Tool. They meant so much for me back in my early 20s, that it doesn't matter how long I moved on past them. True, I am not listening to their music much these days, but the closer we get to the official release date, the more I want to hear what they can tell me now, 13 years later.

^ I've listened to it. The sound is the same as it was on 10,000 Days (Joe Barresi still behind that department), but they went with longer tracks all the way.

More prog than they've ever been, I suppose. Not really what I am into now, so it won't last on me, but it's been a good blast from the past feeling, I have to admit.

Gave it a "stream", very dark, proggy and...eeh nice. :O

Tool is one of those bands that sort of passed me by without noticing back in their early days. At the time I were out on a different music trip. We`ll see if I do some catching up this autumn. :)
Sorry guys, no signature for a while, too busy with life. :|

^ Ranking their output, I'd say:

- Aenima
- Lateralus
- 10,000 Days
- Undertow
- Fear Inoculum
- Salival
- Opiate

If you want a hint where to start from. :)

Used to love this guy ages ago, I still have his records in my collection even though it's been a while since I listened to them. I just discovered he has finally come back with a new album, heavier than his last one:

^ Still one of my favorite bands. Never saw that video of the concert, thanks.

In the similar music realm but more recent:
