@rho
Better than the original, much better. The original Archangel is probably my least favourite track from Untrue. Way too chipmunky.
What are these mixtapes you refer too? Did I miss something posted here?
Btw, I got me a set of those Korg Volcas (Beats, Keys, Bass) recently. Great fun noodling around with.

@wux
You might like the work Kieran Hebden (Four Tet's real name) did with the late Steve Reid,

Start out with the Exchange Sessions and work your way up in chronological order. Previews are surely available on Youtube.

Perhaps an obvious one, but here it goes anyhow:

"Katibim" (traditional Turkish tune) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SymcEAeYGOw
seems to be similar to:
"Rasputin" by Boney M. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvDMlk3kSYg

(Which was also covered by Turisas - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdkBs0VCSX0)

Every song sampled by the beastie boys, in one archive:
http://www.aloha-miscreant.com/2014/12/ ... ource.html

I have the archive if you'd rather not sully yourself with megaupload.
Makes for a good playlist. and all seem to work nice with the phone (pics and such)

so not too many will care, but this one has been bothering me since '96:
Networxx - On Your Own
sampled:
Sunshine Productions - Above The Clouds (DJ Vibes & Wishdokta Remix)
who in turned sampled it from:
Collapse - Hold Me In Your Arms Acappella

right, happy now :)

Another one while I'm doin' it, drums from the intro here:
Parliment - come in out of the rain

Very nicely flipped by el-P:
Company Flow Info Kill II
Which also features a pretty obvious synth sample.

I do believe I actually don't have any room in my skull for any more music, must be getting old.
I mean after around early 2000, nothing much sticks. I've been listening to some new rap music. didn't get on with that at all.
Pop music on the radio kinda flies by as it does leaving a bit of a ditty, then no desire to listen to it ever again, maybe it's my age, hang on did I mention that already?
