'Elixir' is the follow-up to 'Honey', but built on the Spring 2014.1 release, with a PAE kernel and a mostly default config (only added colors and changed the Modkey to Alt)
This is a no-gtk release, very light on resources, with the 3.13-trunk kernel from Debian. The Login Menu is editable, as well as the startup script (.xinitrc replacement). Optimal for adding window managers. No 'down-the-throat' app choices, so there is no vim and no emacs, only the cute little nano editor. And of course all known CLI tools (run 'bbq' from a terminal for an overview)
To set a nice wallpaper in framebuffer, edit /usr/local/bin/fb as root. A generic wallpaper is placed in /usr/share/wallpapers/11.jpg but not sourced by fb.

312MB, fits a small USB stick.
Happy hacking!

I have found a bug on this spin.
For some reason when I was trying to close files with the default kill procces bind, it would kill my entire X server. Then I found that in the .bindkeysrc file, there is a line of code that reads

That's not a bug - it just doesn't fit your keybindings in .i3/config.
All BBQ releases past Oyster (at least those that i spun) set S-A-q as X server killer, because some WMs do not have a log out option. C-A-Del should do the same, though.
