NOX: Boring (amd64) Release News

Unread post by machinebacon » Fri Feb 28, 2014 4:41 pm

A new base release, yeeeey! Okay, no reason to be enthusiastic, because this is plain ole Debian Wheezy. Yep, da grill goes stable. Boring? Fuck yeah.

Anyway, this is built from a bootstrapped system with all BBQ goodness included. The framebuffer session can be manually started with fb. Set it up with the fonts you like. Apart from that, this is really just tmux and some productivity tools. Installable as usually via (sudo) 'bbqinstaller'

login: bbq/bbq or root/bbq

The good news is: sharp 200MB ISO size (check before you d/l, sourceforge was shaky today), so it installs to something around 635MB on your drive.

I propose a game:
1). install boring
2). find extremely obscure software
3). attempt to break 'boring'
4). post results
